Belasan tahun yang lalu, di saat awal-awal saya mengajar di Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Islam Bandung, datanglah sesosok tokoh misterius yang masuk ke dalam kelas saya. Mata sipitnya menatap dengan tajam dan dari sorot penuh percaya dirinya itulah saya segera tahu bahwa dia seorang “bajak laut”.

Tak lama segenap kecurigaan saya itupun terbukti. Dia memang seorang bajak laut, salah seorang kelompok bajak laut topi jerami lebih tepatnya. Bajak laut bertopi jerami yang mengayuh sepeda. Jauh sebelum “fashion” sepedahan menjadi trending topic negeri ini. Ya bajak laut yang tak akan saya sebut namanya ini adalah reinkarnasi nyata dari tokoh hasil reka Eiichi Oda yang bernama Monkey D Luffy. Seorang anak yang hanya punya satu cita-cita, hadirkan era baru dunia dimana tak ada kezaliman, angkara murka, dan kesewenang-wenangan bersimaharajalela.

Oda membuat sebuah manga berjudul One Piece, yang mulai diserialkan pada majalah Shonen Jump edisi #34 pada tanggal 4 Agustus 1997. Animenya mulai dibuat oleh Toei Animation di Fuji Television pada 20 Oktober 1999, dan percaya atau tidak, Oda sudah menyiapkan endingnya agar One Piece berakhir dalam durasi 5 tahun.

Tokoh utama dalam serial ini adalah Monkey D. Luffy, seorang bajak laut muda yang bermimpi untuk menggantikan Gol D. Roger, mantan Raja Bajak Laut (Pirate King) yang telah meninggal, dengan jalan menemukan harta karun legendaris miliknya, One Piece. Dalam perjalanan hidupnya yang penuh dengan petualangan dan dinamika rasa, Luffy merekrut beragam anggota untuk kelompok bajak lautnya, Bajak Laut Topi Jerami, termasuk di antaranya ahli pedang (Wakil Kapten) Roronoa Zoro, navigator Nami, inventor dan penembak jitu Usopp (God Usopp) , koki Vinsmoke Sanji , rusa antropomorfis dan dokter Tony Tony Chopper, arkeolog yang sangat di takuti Nico Robin, Cyborg si ahli kapal Franky, dan musisi jerangkong hidup Brook, kesatria lautan yang menjadi juru kemudi kapal Jinbe.

Kelompok bajak laut Topi Jerami ini berlayar dengan kapal yang dinamai Going Marry Go, dan disambung dengan Kapal Thousand Sunny Go.

Luffy di dunia nyata yang saya temukan duduk di barisan terdepan kelas Biopsikologi saya ini fasih sekali mengutip maklumat bijak sang bajak laut topi jerami anak asuh Kapten Shank ini,
Jangan takut untuk bermimpi. Karena mimpi adalah tempat menanam benih harapan dan memetakan cita-cita. Sementara saya yang tentu saja tak mau kalah, karena dengan mengalah itu ego saya akan terluka, pun mengutip petatah petitih alter ego saya, Sanji,
Aku tidak dilahirkan untuk berteman dengan wanita. Aku dilahirkan untuk mencintai mereka. Karena aku terlahir sebagai pria,
dan bukan sebuah kebetulan, karena saya juga seorang koki yang kerap diminta memasakkan berbagai penganan lezat kesukaan para wanita, sama seperti Sanji.

Luffy Unisba ini punya cita-cita menciptakan rekor dalam menamatkan pendidikan dengan waktu tercepat dan hasil terbaik. Dan tentu saja ia berhasil. Saya tak terlalu heran karenanya. Sebab ia pun telah menunjukkan pada dunia bahwa ia berani menggadaikan suatu kepastian untuk ditukar dengan sebuah ketidakpastian yang menjanjikan. Dia keluar dengan kepala mendongak dari sebuah perguruan tinggi negeri teknik paling terkemuka negeri ini, hanya untuk mengundi nasib di sebuah fakultas psikologi yang tentu saja memiliki genre pendidikan yang amat berbeda.

Tapi Luffy Unisba ini memang tahu yang dia mau. Kapten atau nahkoda yang pandai menavigasi dan memprediksi dinamika cuaca serta kondisi samudera yang dihadapinya. Dan ia membuktikan bahwa dirinya pantas untuk mencapai apa yang dia harapkan dan telah ia semai benih-benihnya dalam mimpi yang dijalaninya tanpa tidur.

Dari kisah Luffy Unisba ini, saya jadi mulai percaya bahwa Oda telah mencuci otak kita semua. Ia memberi mimpi dan harapan yang kemudian diterapkan dalam kehidupan. Lihat saja film layar lebar terakhir One Piece yang masih di putar di banyak teater bioskop Indonesia, Red, penontonnya membludak dan terdiri dari beragam golongan dan usia, tak hanya Wibu atau Otaku saja yang mengantri, tapi juga Om-Om dan Tante-Tante yang perlente, necis, dan wangi-wangi.

Dan di Red lah saya menemukan padanan yang tepat soal metaverse. Dunia heuristik yang mewadahi kecerdasan berjamaah dalam sebuah semesta mimpi yang dikonstruksi Uta sang penyanyi, anak Shank, dengan diperantarai energi kumpulan perasaan dan memori banyak manusia yang dihimpun dalam Tot Musica.

Maka Elegia metaversa menjadi kerajaan ideal yang diharapkan dapat menjadi taman surga. Prinsip utamanya adalah simetris. Berimbang, adil, dan selaras. Persis seperti komposisi dalam partitur dengan notasi nada dan birama yang teratur.

Tetapi pelajaran penting dari sana justru berlaku sebaliknya, manusia dan semesta perlu ketidak teraturan dalam keteraturan, perlu kondisi asimetris dalam upaya mensimetriskan kondisi, dan perlu perubahan berkelanjutan, alih-alih duduk diam penuh keajegan dalam dunia deterministik yang anti stokastik.

Dibanding dunia Uta Uta yang menjadi obsesi Uta sang penyanyi, kita lebih memilih dunia Atu Atu, dimana atu atu aku sayang ibu , yang berkonsekuensi akan adanya uwa uwa aku sayang ayah, dan iga iga sayang adik kakak, lalu atu, uwa, iga sayang semuanya. Masak mau Atu Atu Aku Sayang Aku ?

Enggak kan ? Perlu yang beda kan ? Gak sama ternyata asyik kan ? Kita masih perlu termodinamika kan ? Butuh entalpi entropi kan ? Iya kan ? i….kan ya ?
